Emily Hearn

my cousin is a star...
no seriously...she is just released her NEW full length studio album Red Balloon

My memories of us always make me smile...like little mermaid in the pool, choreographing dances for the family, writing music lyrics on magazines, "Jolene", "whiskey lullaby", "...you say it best..."

frugal fashion

Loving clothes, shoes and anything fabulous is not always cheap. I always love finding a good bargain and have recently found fun in finding an inexpensive version of the high priced clothes I love. Styles and trends are always changing so as my soul sister Maryam always says....
"invest in the key pieces and play with the inexpensive."
She is definitely one of my style icons and her knowledge of fashion and advice is always spot on. One of our favorite places never lets us down....forever21. when will we ever be too old to shop there....i'll let you know...

Jcrew is FABULOUS but sometimes out of my price range for my monthly shopping excursions...
Here are a few comparisons that i found on this lazy sunday...Jcrew vs. 4ever
All of these aren't exact replica's but close enough to save...$339.20....enough to convince me!

Pizza Puffs

Pepperoni Pizza Puffs
I promised a sweet lady I work with that I would upload these awesome easy appetizers.
E-A-S-Y! and from Pinterest! Its a Rachel Ray recipe, she never disappoints, and Wes and I plan to add many more ingredients to make them different every time!

3/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
pinch of salt and red pepper flakes
3/4 cup milk
1 egg lightly beaten
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup cubed pepperoni
1/2 cup pizza sauce

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease a mini muffin pan (we used a regular size pan)
In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, seasonings, salt and red pepper.
Whisk in milk and eggs.
Stir in both cheeses and pepperoni.
Let mix stand for ten minutes.
Stir the batter and divide into muffin cups.
Bake 20-25 minutes, until puffed and golden.

We make a homemade pizza sauce and serve it warmed!
Delish and EASY!
